MEIYSAC Deputy Minister launches Green Hydrogen youth training programme The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC), Hon. Dinno Ballotti, officially launched the “Accelerate to Demonstrate” youth training programme on Thursday at the Daures Green Hydrogen Village. The programme which falls under the Daures Green Hydrogen initiatives, aims to equip Namibian youth with practical skills in renewable energy, green hydrogen, green fertilizers, and sustainable agriculture. This initiative is funded by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). A total of 250 young people will benefit from the programme, with 10 trainees already enrolled. Daures Green Hydrogen Village is Africa’s first fully integrated green hydrogen community and continues to lead in innovation through green fertilizer production and sustainable community development. In his remarks, Hon. Ballotti emphasised that the program is fully aligned with Namibia’s National Development Programmes and marks a key step in preparing Namibians to thrive in the emerging green economy. The launch was attended by the National Planning Commission, Director General Dr. Kaire Mbuende and key stakeholders. This programme reflects MEIYSAC’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that invest in the future of Namibian youth through innovation, skills development, and inclusive economic growth
